Dose Reduction Function

Morita strives to minimize dose in all diagnostic units.

The radiation level of Morita Digital Panoramic X-ray equipment for one panoramic shot is about a half amount of cosmic radiation exposed on the flight from Washington DC to Los Angeles. When flying in an airplane you are exposed to a slight increase in cosmic radiation due to the higher altitude and thinner atmosphere.

With 3D imaging, the Veraviewepocs 3D R100 offers a total of 6 exposure areas from 4x4 cm up to 10x8 cm for a wide range of clinical indications.

The image layer for 2D panoramic images can be adjusted after the exposure has been made to improve clarity and sharpness.

For cephalometric images (optional), the Veraviewepocs takes ceph images with high speed and ensures high quality images each and every time.

3D-Dental Arch Function (3D Reuleaux FOV)

Within the 100 mm diameter exposure range MORITA’s unique 3D system replaces the typical cylindrical shape with a convex triangle shape - the Reuleaux. The generated unique FOV encompasses the entire dental arch (with upper jaw and lower jaw) and simultaneously excludes all other areas of image acquisition, that are out of interest.

The benefit of this MORITA-exclusive function: Imaging of the entire dental arch can be achieved with less X-ray dose.

The Veraviewepocs 3D R100 re-defines the concept of 3D imaging with a unique Reuleaux Triangular FOV which more accurately matches the shape of the patients' jaw. The R100 FOV includes relevant anatomy that would be imaged with a 100mm circular diameter cross section but excludes irrelevant tissues outside the jawline.
